Evening Dinning
Our Evening Menu changes regularly, according to season.Starters
- Melon and grapefruit cocktail. A refreshing start to any meal.
- Home made soup. Varies from Broccoli and blue cheese to roasted red pepper and tomato and anything in between!
- Smoked Mackerel Pate. A tasty, healthy pate served with our organic wholemeal toast
- Tomato ,Avocado and Mozzarella Salad. Perfect for the warmer weather.
- Mushroom and Leeks in a garlic and cream sauce. A wonderful combination in any weather;
- Antipasti Platter for two. Just the right starter for an informal evening with friends.
- Sonia”s Beef Casserole. A classic Continental favourite with a Welsh twist: prepared with Welsh Black beef and Flemish beer.
- Local Lamb steaks. Griddled to stay tender and served with a selection of oven roasted vegetables and a redcurrant sauce
- Beef and Venison Casserole. When there’s a nip in the air this with its whisky sauce fits the bill.
- Pork fillet Medallions. Pork tenderloin fillets accompanied with a spicy red cabbage and apple confit.
- Summer Chicken. Free range chicken breast with homemade pesto sauce and ratatouille.
- Salmon Parcels. A fillet of salmon sitting on a bed of leeks and cream, cooked in its own paper parcel.
- Anthea’s Posh Sausage and Mash. Cranberry and Orange sausages with Horseradish mash and a red onion marmalade. A must for anyone who thinks bangers and mash isn’t proper cuisine. This is!
- Drunken Pheasant. Half a pheasant cooked in cider and served with apple rings and onions
- Welsh Cheese gratin. A feast of broccoli and Welsh cheese layered with fresh herbs and new potatoes creating their own creamy sauce.

- Lemon and Elderflower Syllabub. Just the thing to slip down with its light texture and tangy taste.
- Fresh Fruit Salad It’s what it says and is prepared to order.Chocolate cheesecake. No cheese but the ideal dessert for chocoholics everywhere
- Cheese Platter and biscuits. A selection of Welsh and Continental cheeses left with you (not whisked away !) for you to help yourself, help yourself again, relax and enjoy. This, of course, is what fine cheese is all about.
